Wine Is Serious Business 361: Slow Wine Guide Comes To Oregon

Turn up the volume, and listen closely! This episode contains some great conversational comments about Oregon and the wine world through the expert eyes of Slow Wine.

Slow Wine is a branch of the world famous Slow Food organization in Italy. For 10 years, they have published a detailed guide to the wines of Italy, with characteristic attention to production methods and focus on specific regional strengths. We were very excited to hear that they planned to include Oregon in this year’s release! The worked with local expert Michael Alberty to curate profiles of 50 excellent Oregonian wine producers.

On release of the book, they scheduled an American tour to celebrate and promote the 2019 Slow Wine Guide, and were kind enough to spend some time with us. We shared a bottle of the 2015 Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Noir, and they shared the 2014 Damijan Podversic Nekaj, the 2016 Fattoria Corzano e Paterno Terre di Corza Chianti, and the 2016 Fratelli Mossio Dolcetto d’Alba Piano delli Perdoni.
